Ripe bananas and honey make a wonderful combination for cake. I never knew I would fall in love with this cake because I am not a big fan of bananas. I had this cake at a friends house and was amazed at the taste. Awesome to taste with a soft and moist texture
The best part of the cake is that its made up of whole wheat. The nuttiness of whole wheat gets subsided by the taste of banana and honey. Super delicious and this recipe is definitely a keeper
The cake is a little denser than the usual vanilla cakes and other but the taste beats all that
Serve option... Room Temperature
This is what u'll need....
Whole wheat Flour - 1 cup
Banana - 2 small
Honey - 1/4 cup or less

Choco chips - 2 tbspn
Sliced Almonds - 1 tbspn

Banana - 2 small
Honey - 1/4 cup or less
Oil - 1/4 cup
Choco chips - 2 tbspn
Sliced Almonds - 1 tbspn
Baking powder - 1/s tspn
Salt a pinch
Here is the stir....
- Peel bananas and put them in a bowl
- Mash the bananas till fine using a fork
- Add honey to the bananas. If bananas are too sweet then you reduce a little
- Add oil to the bowl
- Mix everything together until very smooth
- Sieve whole wheat flour, baking powder and salt together. Do this three times to make the dry ingredients a little airy and remove any lumps
- Add the dry ingredients into the wet mix
- Pour in a few drops of vanilla essence
- Mix gently till everything is incorporated well
- Add some choco chips and give one final stir
- Pour this into a bread pan
- Slice almonds roughly
- Sprinkle sliced almonds on top of the batter
- Bake this in a 180 degrees preheated oven for about 22-25 minutes or till an inserted toothpick comes out clean
- Let it cool down to room temperature before you cut it into slices. I didnt have the patience and cut it... it broke a little :)
- Serve with love and enjoy
Note:
- Adding chocochips is optional
- Use more or less depending on need
- This cake is a little denser than usual cakes but a lot more flavourful
