Chocolate mug cake

An intense craving to eat a little cake but then not feeling like baking a full cake or not wanting to wait long before you could make and eat it????? then here's your solution like I had... mug cake. Mug cake makes a perfect dessert  that makes individual portions. Make it in a minute and enjoy it to the fullest. The best part is that you can put them together in a few seconds and have it any time.

Tried this recipe for chocolate cake and well it was perfect to taste. I started with some other recipe but it turned out too dense and I could taste too much flour. Made a few changes next time and it turned out perfectly moist and soft. From there on there has been no stopping. Tried a lot more versions of mug cakes after that and now I bake more mug cakes than cakes :) (Will try to post the recipes soon). The fun part is that I can try different varieties without making a big batch every time.

Serves... 1 person
Serve option... Warm with ice cream

This is what u'll need....

Flour - 3 tbsp
Cocoa Powder - 2 tbsp
Sugar - 2 tbspn
Milk - 2 tbspn
Oil - 2 tbspn
Baking soda - 1/8 tspn
Vinegar - 1/8 tspn
Choco chips - as needed

Here is the stir....

  • Measure flour into a mug
  • Little vinegar goes into the mug
  • Add a pinch of baking soda
  • Spoon in cocoa powder
  • Add sugar to the mug
  • Pour milk into the flour mixture
  • Add oil into the mug
  • Give everything a good stir
  • Add a little bit of choco chips
  • Microwave for about 1 min 30 secs
  • Let cool for a few seconds and enjoy your chocolate mug cake

Note:
  • I love chocolate cake but not too chocolaty so I have used less cocoa powder. Make it more chocolaty if you want and enjoy your cake
  • Cooking time varies according to microwave settings. So keep an eye on it and chk for doneness
