Chicken roll

I have loved chicken roll and egg roll from right when i was a kid. Sometimes as a snack and sometimes as dinner these rolls play a hearty role in giving the sense of a content apetite. Everybody falls in love with these tho they may want a little variation in spice

Serves... 2 ppl
Serve option...Warm

This is what u'll need....

For roll
Wheat flour 1/2 cup
Maida 1/2 cup
Oil 1 tspn
Salt to taste

Filling
Chicken breast/thigh 1 piece
Salt to taste
Chaat masala 1/2 tspn
Chilli powder 1/2 tbspn
Garam masala 1/2 tspn
Onion 1 small
Green chillies 2
Lemon juice/Vinegar 1 tspn
Oil 1 tbspn

Here is the stir....
  • Cook chicken in boiling for 2-3 minutes and let it cool. Shred it with a fork and keep aside
  • To make the rotis mix all the above mentioned ingredients and form a soft dough. Set it aside to rest for 20-30 mins
  • Heat oil in pan and add the shredded chicken to it.
  • Sprinkle salt, red chilli powder, chaat masala and garam masala powder
  • Stir frequently and cook on medium for about 3-4 mins. Dont overcook as it leaves the chicken dry after a while. Turn off the heat and it ready to be filled
  • Keep an eye on the salt. Add very little because there is a little getting in at every step
  • In a separate bowl add very thinly sliced onions, finely chopped green chillies, red chilli powder -1/4 tspn, vinegar. Mix well and keep aside
  • Now for the process assembling everything, make thin rotis out of the dough. Cook it on both sides with a little oil. Spoon in chicken mixture and the onions. Roll it up and serve it warm
  • Can add a little green chutney before rolling. Gives a nice and fresh flavor
