Yummm.... french fries... who's in???? Everyone has to admit it.... this is the most loved recipe among kids. I have never seen any kid saying no this. In fact I have only seen and heard them asking for more. Same is with my kids too
Its not too much work but still you need to plan a little ahead of time. Make a big batch at one time and then stock them up in the freezer. Fry them directly without thawing and you can have them in not time
The simple trick to making yummy french fries is the double-fry method. That is all

Serve option... Hot
This is what u'll need....
Potatoes
Salt
Oil for frying
Salt
Oil for frying
Here is the stir....
- Wash and peel potatoes
- Cut them into long thin pieces
- Soak the cut potatoes in a bowl of ice cold water. Let it rest for about 2 hrs
- After 2 hrs drain the water and clean the potatoes again with clean water
- Dry them on a clean kitchen towel. Remove moisture completely
- Heat oil in a pan
- When the oil is hot enough drop some pieces into it. Dont overcrowd the oil
- Fry for about a minute or little more. Remove from oil and drain it on a paper towel
- If you store some to use later then this is the time to do it. Put the one-time fried pieces into a ziplock bag. When you want to make some fries, just remove it from the freezer and deep-fry them until golden brown
- If you want to make the fries immediately then deep-fry the fries that have been fried once. This is what I do usually - I cook the entire lot that is gonna be served for then. When draining them on paper towels I drain each batch separated in a line to keep track of the time when they were cooked. Once all are done I start recooking from the first batch
- Sprinkle some salt on the fries and stir it around
- Serve hot and let the kids enjoy them with their favourite sauce
- Soaking the potatoes in cold water for two hours helps it get rid of the starch
- Pat dry them completely before you fry them
- Dont cook for a long time when frying first time
- Cook on medium flame and not low. Keep stirring to get an even brown colour
