Garlicky lemon Spaghetti

Sometimes we feel ... simple is the best and yes it is. Some evenings you just want to eat something very simple and nothing fancy. Well its just that thought that I am talking right now. How about grabbing a bowl of food and relaxing in the corner of the sofa doing nothing or just watching a movie. Call it lazy evenings or relaxing evenings it deserves some simple and quick treat. Well this recipe here is our favourite food for such nights. Love this simple spaghetti with a dash of lemon and garlic taste to perk up the flavours

Cook some spaghetti thats the part where you don sweat in :) Toss in the cooked pasta into some oil seasoned with chilli flakes and  garlic. Squeeze in a few drops of lemon juice and thats it ...its ready to tease your taste buds.

Serves... 3 ppl
Serve option... Hot

This is what u'll need....

Spaghetti - as needed
Red chilli Flakes  - 1/4 tspn
Mixed-herb seasoning - 1/4 tspn
Garlic - 3-4 pods
Lemon - half
Oil - 1 tbspn + 1 tspn
Salt to taste

Here is the stir....
    • Heat water in a large pan. Add salt and a teaspoon of oil to it
    • When water starts boiling toss in the spaghetti and cook 8-9 minutes or the pasta is al-dente
    • Drain the water and keep spaghetti aside
    • In a wide nonstick pan add a tablespoon of oil
    • Crush garlic roughly using the flat side of knife and toss it into the oil for a few seconds. Saute for a few seconds will the garlic smell infuses the oil
    • Time to add some red chilli flakes and mixed herb seasoning
    • Add the spaghetti to the pan
    • Squeeze a little lemon as per your taste
    • Toss everything well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed
    • Serve hot and enjoy

    • Keep lemon flavour on the lower end ... else it will become too lemony
    • Adding oil helps the spaghetti to avoid sticking to each other
    • Let the garlic cook in the oil on very low flame to get the flavour into the oil
