Coleslaw.... my favourite

Coleslaw is my favourite and my hubby's favourite too. Crisp veggies tossed in mayo and then topped with walnuts and raisins is just perfect on its own. Just toss all the ingredients into a bowl and give it a good stir..... thats it... its ready to eat. Enjoy your bowl of coleslaw :)



Serves... 1 person
Serve option... Chilled

This is what u'll need...

Shredded cabbage - 1/4 cup
Shredded Carrot - 1/4 cup
Vinegar - 1/2 tspn
Mayonnaise - 2 tbspn
Raisins - 1 tbspn
Chopped walnuts - 1 tbspn
Pepper to taste
Salt to taste
Here is the stir....

  • Toss shredded cabbage into a wide bowl. The thinner the shred the better it is
  • Grate carrot using the large eye of your grater. Toss it into the bowl
  • Add salt and pepper to taste

  • Spoon in about half a teaspoon of vinegar into the bowl
  • Measure about 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise and add it to the mixture. Use more or less to suit your taste buds. I used homemade Eggless mayonaisse. For recipe click here -> Homemade Mayonaisse Recipe
  • You can add garnish as per your liking. We love raisins and walnuts. I have used the same here
  • Give everything a good stir and chill till you are ready to serve
  • Serve chilled topped with few more raisins and walnuts and enjoy


                                Note:
                                • Keep salt on the lower end. You can always add more if needed
                                • Adjust mayonaisse to suit your taste
                                • Chill before serving to get the best flavours
