Black chick peas biryani

One pot meals are always welcome and  biryanis are always very welcome. Coming back from work and planning what to cook is always so troubling. Best are pulaos and biryanis. I have always loved it to make as well as well to eat. A simple side of raita and you are good to go

I make biryani with chick peas, black chick peas, green moong dal and what not :D well they have always tasted perfect and that is we finally want..... right???

Bhindi masala

Bhindi masala is a little spicy and kinda tangy curry that goes good with chapathis. We love okra at home so different styles to present it at the dining table is a must. This recipe is often made because of it simplicity in terms of making and spicing.

Serves... 2 ppl 
Serve option... Chapathis

This is what u'll need....

Bhindi/Okra 1 lb
Onion 1 small
Tomato puree 1.5 tbspn
Gg paste 1 tbspn
Salt to taste
Chilli powder 1/2 tspn
Garam masala powder  1 tbspn
Oil 1 tbspn

Here is the stir....
  • Slit okra lengthise into 4-6 pieces and keep them ready
  • Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onion to it
  • When they turn translucent, add gg paste and fry till the raw smell goes
  • Toss in the okra pieces and fry on medium heat till they lose the stickiness. Try cooking it covered so that they stay moist, stirring once in a while
  • When they look almost done stir in salt,chilli powder and fry for a minute
  • Add tomato puree and mix everything together. Cook for a couple of mins
  • Finish it off by sprinkling a little garam masala on top
