Carroty Bread Toast... Nutritiously delicious

My younger bunny's favorite this time. I enjoyed these when my mom used to make it for me and now I feel proud and happy when I make them and my lil one Aadit munches them away in no time. Carrots are so full of vitamins and minerals that it has to be an important part of our meal routine. Eating them in the same boring ways is no longer a need.

Kids will love this version of their fav veggie. It just takes minutes to put things together and make this yummy toast to be served in a sweet way.

Serves... 2 ppl
Serve option... Hot with ketchup

This is what u'll need....

Carrot - 1 big
Milk Cream - 1 tbspn
Chaat masala - pinch
Pepper powder- 1/4 tspn
Green chillies - 2 small
Onion - 1 big
Garlic - 1 big clove
Rava/Sooji/Semolina - 1 tbspn
Bread slices - 6
Coriander leaves - handful
Salt to taste

Here is the stir....

  • Heat a griddle and let it be ready for making the toasts
  • Take milk cream in a bowl. I used fresh cream thickened at the top of milk bowl. After cooling boiled milk I put it in the fridge so that the cream can thicken

  • Add shredded carrot, shredded onion, shredded garlic, salt, pepper, green chillies. Give it a good stir

  • Pour in the rava and mix it all together . This gives a light and non-greasy texture to the toast

  •  Toss in chopped fresh coriander leaves and mix it well for a nice fresh flavor

  • Spoon the mixture on the bread slices and place them on the hot tawa - plain side facing up
  • Keep the flame on medium while you cook. Oil the bread lightly and flip it when you can smell the carrot cooking

  • Fry the other side too and its ready to serve

  • Serve hot with ketchup and your kids will ask for more

Note:
  • Add coriander leaves for a dash of green and flavor
  • Substitute green chillies with red chilli for a slightly different flavor at times
  • Use fresh cream from the top of the milk and it tastes great
