Looking back, it all started as a personal blog and then I shared it friends and then it reached friends of friends and their friends too. Thanks to all of you once again. This pushes me more to write posts more often than I do

This recipe is in here to help me start writing my blog this year with a sweet note. Let me update my blog often and pile up my recipe collection to good heights. We tried making a lot of cookies this season .. some we liked some we didn't, some were gud for the health sake and some turned out just awesome. Will try to share some that we liked and loved

This is not a new recipe but I am sure I havent added this recipe so thought will put it up. This is one cookie that is often made in our family and too with lot of love because every time this is made ... my little helpers are sure to be in the kitchen. They always want to make this one on their own. Do try to make some too and fill your kitchen and hearts with loads and loads of love

A simple intro... these are crunchy and crispy cookies that are made in no time. These are very very simple to make and they taste super yummy. They just melt in the mouth and make your taste buds jump in joy

Serves... makes 20 small cookies
Serve option... Room Temp

This is what u'll need....

Butter - 1/4 cup or 4 tbspn
Powdered Sugar - 1/4 cup
Egg - 1/2
Maida/All Purpose Flour - 1/2 cup
Cornflakes - 2-3 tbspn
Baking soda - a pinch

Here is the stir....
  • Take soft butter in a working bowl

  • Add powdered sugar to this and mix them together till creamy

  • Add  a pinch of baking soda to this and mix well
  • Measure flour into the bowl. Break open and egg and add just half of it to the flour.  Start mixing

  • Dont work too hard here. Just move the spatula around till all the flour is incorporated well and there are no dry bits around. The mixture will be sticky and not stiff. Thats perfect

  • In a small plate crush cornflakes into smaller bits. We use sugar coated cornflakes in our cookies and we feel they add an extra taste along with the crunch
  • Dust your fingers with a little flour. Pinch out a little dough and roll in gently. It might not take up good shape but thats ok. Now roll this in cornflakes till it is coated well

  • Place the made cookies in a baking tray with good between them

  • Place the tray in a 180 degrees preheated oven and bake for 15-18 mins
  • Remove from oven when you light golden color around. Let cool for a few mins before you try to touch them
  • Enjoy as many as you want and store the remaining in an airtight container

                      Note:
                      • Whisk sugar and butter well till fluffy
                      • If you want to skip egg, add 2 tbspns milk instead
                      • Comes good even without baking soda
