Chicken 65 is a perfect addition to every non-veg appetizer menu. Eat it as a snack or as an appetizer it doesnt get away without satisfying your taste buds. My mom had made this for years and now I have made it for so many years too ... but every time I have had it I have always wanted more. It is lip-smacking every time its served.
Try this as an appetizer for parties and they will make way without any hassle... just that there will be more servings than usual. Kids and elders, everybody likes it.
It is super simple recipe that everybody knows but it is here just to remind that it is a recipe that everybody likes.
Serve option... Hot with lemon wedges
This is what u'll need....
Chicken bite-sized pieces - 1 cup
Red chilli powder - 1 1/2 tspn
Turmeic powder - 1 tspn
Cumin powder - 1 tspn
Garam masala powder - 1/2 tspn
Curd - 2 tbspn
Gg paste - 1 tspn
Oil for frying
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder - 1 1/2 tspn
Turmeic powder - 1 tspn
Cumin powder - 1 tspn
Garam masala powder - 1/2 tspn
Curd - 2 tbspn
Gg paste - 1 tspn
Oil for frying
Salt to taste
Here is the stir....
- Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and wash them thoroughly. Drain any excess water
- Toss in all the spices - salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, cumin powder, garam masala and gg paste
- Add couple of tablespoons of curd. Mix everything together so that all the chicken pieces are evenly coated with the curd and spice mixture. Keep this marinated chicken in the refrigerator for atleast an hour so that the chicken soaks in all the juice from the spice mixture
- Heat oil in a wok and deep fry these pieces on medium heat till the chicken is cooked and ready to be served
- Serve hot with lemon wedges and enjoy the taste
Note:
- Adjust spices to suit your taste
- Green chillies paste can be used instead of red chilli powder for an added flavor. I use both alternatively
- When making for parties I do the marination as a prep work. The marination works so well that you just have to fry them before serving. Easy job here with a little homework done already
