I love mushrooms and always find a chance to try it tho i dont like them too try. Their fabulous texture and taste are always inviting. Also i love the way they look... plumpy little fellas :) My hubby is not a big fan of them so i have to always keep reminding him to get it from the store cos he picks only veggies that he likes. Nowadays he has started eating it better than before but that has all started after telling him the stories of its goodness and also trying different curries and sabjis to help him eat . Well.... talking about the goodness...yes they really offer a very good contribution towards a healthy diet. It is low in cal and rich in nutrients, minerals too. Good news to my ears.
This is what u'll need....
Mushroom 1 small pkg(pre-sliced)
Onion 1 medium
Tomato puree 1 heaped tbspn
Capsicum 1/2 of medium
Salt to taste
Oil 1 tbspn
Garam masala 1 tspn
Onion 1 medium
Tomato puree 1 heaped tbspn
Capsicum 1/2 of medium
Salt to taste
Oil 1 tbspn
Garam masala 1 tspn
Here is the stir....
- To a pan add oil and toss in chopped onions
- Fry them till they turn translucent and the add tomato puree
- Add diced capsicum to the above and keep frying for 4-5 mins till the entire mixtures turns slightly brown
- Toss in the mushrooms and sprinkle salt. Add little water is you feel the mixture is running too dry
- Stir them well and cook covered for 7-8 mins occasionally giving it aquick stir
- Sprinkle garam masala towards the end and stir around well
- Transfer to a serving bowl and serve hot with chapathis
