Bhindi masala is a little spicy and kinda tangy curry that goes good with chapathis. We love okra at home so different styles to present it at the dining table is a must. This recipe is often made because of it simplicity in terms of making and spicing.
This is what u'll need....
Bhindi/Okra 1 lb
Onion 1 small
Tomato puree 1.5 tbspn
Gg paste 1 tbspn
Salt to taste
Chilli powder 1/2 tspn
Garam masala powder 1 tbspn
Onion 1 small

Here is the stir....
- Slit okra lengthise into 4-6 pieces and keep them ready
- Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onion to it
- When they turn translucent, add gg paste and fry till the raw smell goes
- Toss in the okra pieces and fry on medium heat till they lose the stickiness. Try cooking it covered so that they stay moist, stirring once in a while
- When they look almost done stir in salt,chilli powder and fry for a minute
- Add tomato puree and mix everything together. Cook for a couple of mins
- Finish it off by sprinkling a little garam masala on top
